🌟✨🥂 Double the Celebration, Double the Legacy! 🥂✨🌟
Today, we are pausing to celebrate two incredible individuals who are both retiring from the MPSED family! While Connie and Fred aren’t related, they do share a massive passion for school psychology and a well-deserved ticket to their next great adventures. Let’s look back at what makes each of them so irreplaceable:
🎹 Connie Kinsella: The Relationship Builder & High-Altitude Hiker
Connie’s interest in the field started with an internship after grad school in ’92, that led to her long career with MPSED. Over the years, she has kept her massive caseload perfectly organized with a legendary system of spreadsheets; however, her true achievement is the deep, quality friendships she has forged across every single district.
- Fun Fact: Before she was hiking high-elevation trails and navigating national parks, Connie was an accomplished pianist!
- Her insightful perspective, passed down from her dad: “There are people who wish they had your problems.”
🃏 Fred Spitzzeri: The Multi-Talented Mentor & Bridge Master
Fred wraps up an astounding 40-year career in school psychology, including 7 years with Macon Piatt. Serving ages 3 to 21 across up to 9 buildings in a single week, his dedication has been unmatched—especially through his impactful parent and teacher effectiveness courses.
- Fun Fact: This is actually Fred’s second retirement! Along with his psych credentials, he holds a Doctorate in Law, he practiced as an attorney for 25 years, and is just two points shy of becoming a Life Master in competitive bridge.
- His Work Fuel: Headphones playing classic rock, Frank Sinatra, and big band music.
Connie and Fred, thank you both for your decades of heart, wisdom, and advocacy for our students. MPSED won’t be the same without you.
